Why
is the protection of aquatic mammals so important? Most
aquatic mammals such as dolphins and otters are predators and strongly
depend on the state of their habitat.
These
species, consequently, can be used as biological indicators. Measures for
their conservation not only help them to survive, but will contribute to
the preservation of their habitats which are part of the ecosystem.
The
way we work To
ensure the long-term success of our projects, we consider it most important
to work together with local biologists and institutions.
Every
projects is carried out in consultance with internationally acknowledged
scientists.
Public
relations We
give lectures or provide information by exhibitions at Universities, Educational
Institutions for Adults, at Zoological Gardens and scientific conferences.
Articles in newspapers and scientific journals help to promote our projects
and to create an awareness for the animals and their conservation. Educational
programmes are carried out at schools and local communities in South America.
